Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has spoken of his desire for England international Wayne Rooney to join the Ligue 1 club.
Rooney had a transfer request rejected by Manchester United at the end of the 2012-13 season, but continues to be linked with a move away from the Premier League champions.
PSG are thought to be interested in acquiring his services, and would be one of few clubs in Europe with the financial capability to put a deal together.
And Brazil international Silva is keen for such a transfer to come together.
"I love this player," he said ahead of Brazil's friendly meeting with France on Monday.
"Whenever I have played against him he has scored. I would really like Rooney to sign for PSG. He would be a quality addition for us."
Silva also moved to quell speculation that he would depart the French side to sign for La Liga champions Barcelona.
"At the beginning of every summer it is said that I'll move to Barcelona. Last year it was the same thing," he told O Jogo.
"I am very happy at PSG and I hope to stay in Paris until the end of my contract in 2017."
