De Laurentiis confirms Chelsea Cavani talks
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis expects negotiations over the sale of Edinson Cavani to Chelsea to begin imminently.
Uruguayan striker Cavani has been linked with a move to the London club as new manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his side after taking over for a second spell in charge.
The UEFA Europa League winners will need to activate a 53 million-pound release clause to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
However, that does not appear to be a stumbling block for Mourinho, with De Laurentiis stating that he is anticipating an approach from the Premier League club.

Reading sign Bridge
Reading have completed the signing of former Manchester City and Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old joins the Madejski Stadium outfit on a one-year contract following a season-long loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion after he fell out of favour at the Etihad Stadium.
Bridge missed out on promotion to the Premier League with Gus Poyet's side, as they were eliminated from the Championship play-offs at the semi-final stage by Crystal Palace.
However, Bridge is hopeful of being able to help Nigel Adkins' side back to the top flight following their relegation last season.

Former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal says he would be happy to end his career at Monaco, but could yet join Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Abidal discussed several potential destinations, and spoke of his desire to finish his professional career with the club where it all began in 2000.

Argentina can secure their place at World Cup 2014 in Brazil with a win at River Plate's Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires on Friday.
Argentina coach Sabella has one major fitness concern in the form of Messi, who was called up to the national side despite struggling with a hamstring problem since April.
And the 25-year-old was a notable absentee for the final training session before the Colombia clash.
"If Messi can't play, the alternative is Walter Montillo," the Argentina coach told reporters at a press confer

FIFA World Cup Qualifying: Bolivia - Venezuela
Venezuela's dreams of reaching the 2014 World Cup remain intact but they will need a win over Bolivia to keep up the pressure on Chile.
Cesar Farias' side currently occupy fifth place in the CONMEBOL group, trailing Chile in the fourth and final automatic qualification spot by virtue of goal difference with five games remaining.
And, though securing a place in the top five will see Venezuela reach the play-offs, they will be keen to avoid that lottery by grabbing fourth spot.
If they are to do so they will desperately need to rediscover their form. They have won just twice in their la

FIFA World Cup Qualifying: Central African Republic - South Africa
South Africa will look to extend their unbeaten run when they meet Central African Republic on Saturday.
Gordon Igesund's men have avoided defeat over 90 minutes in their last seven outings, though they exited the Africa Cup of Nations at the hands of Mali on penalties during that time.
Despite that good run, the 2010 World Cup hosts have not had things all their own way as they bid to qualify for the 2014 tournament via CAF qualification round two Group A.
They currently sit in second place, two points adrift of leaders Ethopia, having won one game and drawn the other two.

Mourinho prepared to bench Chelsea stars
Jose Mourinho has declared he will pay no attention to reputations when picking his Chelsea team.
The Portuguese parted company with Real Madrid in May amid rumours of widespread discontent in the dressing room after a number of the squad's more experienced members were demoted to the bench.
Mourinho's decision to stick with Diego Lopez in goal after club captain Iker Casillas recovered from injury provoked the ire of players and fans, but the former Porto and Inter manager stressed that he is not afraid of upsetting big name players if he feels it is best for the team.
"I am a coach who looks for a meritocracy," he told Spanish television station Punto Pelota.
