Southampton forward Gaston Ramirez has stated his intention to remain at the club amid reported interest from Serie A side Fiorentina.
The Uruguayan joined the St Mary's outfit for a reported 12 million pounds from Bologna in August 2012, and scored five goals in his debut season in the Premier League.
A string of impressive performances over that period have seen him linked with a return to Italy, but he insists he wants to stay at Southampton.
"There is a lot of talk about the transfer market but I think I'll stay at Southampton," Ramirez told tuttomercatoweb.com.
"I want to repay the trust of the club. I'm happy in England and I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.
"There has been talk in the past of interest from Fiorentina and they are a club I like. But Southampton count on me a lot."
Southampton been strongly linked with a move for Ramirez's international team-mate Gonzalo Bueno of Nacional, and the 22-year-old says he would welcome such an addition.
"I know him well," he added. "He has great quality and he would give us a helping hand if he came to Southampton."
Southampton made a successful return to the Premier League last season, finishing 14th and avoiding relegation by five points.
