Former Wales and Real Madrid manager John Toshack believes Gareth Bale is a better player than Neymar.
The Brazilian forward recently completed a 57 million euro move to La Liga champions Barcelona and Bale has been tipped to move to Spain as well.
While no official offer has been made for the Welshman's services, Toshack feels Bale could end up at either Barca or Real Madrid next season.
"For me, Gareth is better than Neymar, because he is playing in a very competitive League," he told Punto Pelota.
"With Neymar we will have to wait and see. If there is someone who is worth 100 million euros, then it is Bale."
Toshack also predicted that Bale can rival the top two players in La Liga, and the world, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the years to come.
"He is very modest. The injuries he suffered when younger have seen him grow stronger," he explained.
"They talk about Leo (Messi), we have not seen anyone at his level. Then with Ronaldo, whose power is not seen every day.
"Bale is catching up to these two. He is alongside the Ronaldos and the Messis. He could end up at one of the big two in Spain. He has to play in the Champions League."
Bale was named both PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year last season after his impressive form helped Tottenham finish fifth.
The Welshman secured a clean sweep, also bagging the Football Writers' award, after hitting 26 goals in 44 competitive appearances for Spurs.
