Premier League: Reading 0:0 QPR
Reading and QPR were both relegated from the Premier League after they played out a dull 0-0 draw at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.
Both sides needed a win to keep their mathematical chances of survival alive, but the match was a perfect example of why they will be playing in the Championship next season, with a lack of cutting edge and genuine quality clearly evident.
QPR's Esteban Granero was denied by the woodwork from an early free-kick, while at the other end, Jose Bosingwa made a goal-line clearance to deny Reading's Pavel Pogrebnyak, but that was as close as either side got to scoring in a match that failed to inspire.

Elsewhere, four-time champions Werder Bremen dropped to just two points clear of the relegation play-off place after Stefan Kiessling’s controversial penalty gave Bayern

Platt pleased with Manchester City professionalism
Manchester City assistant manager David Platt hailed the professionalism of his side during their 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.
Last season's champions are all-but certain to secure second place in the
Premier League, while West Ham are comfortably mid-table, but Platt said he
always felt that his players would approach the game in the right manner.
Andy Carroll scored in injury time as his shot squirmed through Joe Hart's legs, but it was not enough to overturn the hosts' two-goal deficit secured by goals from Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure.

Premier League: Everton 1:0 Fulham
Everton boosted their European hopes as they sailed to a 1-0 home win over Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
Steven Pienaar's 15th minute goal proved to be enough for the hosts, with Martin Jol's side proving to be incredibly toothless in attack.
Everton were boosted by the return of Phil Jagielka and Nikica Jelavic, while Giorgos Karagounis replaced the suspended Steve Sidwell in attack for the visitors.
The hosts made the brighter start, Victor Anichebe lashed an early effort over from 25 yards, while Marouane Fellaini nodded straight at Mark Scwarzer from a corner.

The Bavarians had a number of chances to find the net but had to rely on Emre Can’s solitary goal from a Xherdan Shaqiri free-kick to edge past the visitors.
Jupp Heynckes reshuffled his starting line-up following the midweek UEFA Champions League win over Barcelona, as Mario Mandzukic returned from injury to lead the attack while Thomas Muller missed out after picking up a slight knock in that game.
