Premier League : Swansea - Chelsea

premier leagueChelsea travel to Swansea on Sunday to resume their ongoing battle with Arsenal and Tottenham for a top-four finish.

Rafael Benitez’s side will be buoyed by their last-minute UEFA Europa League semi-final victory over Basel and will be keen to extend their unbeaten league run against Swansea to four games.

With Tottenham playing on Saturday Chelsea, who have lost only one of their last six league games, will need to maintain their recent run of good form to stay ahead of their London rivals.

However, with the semi-final second leg on the horizon the Spaniard may choose to rest some of his top stars as he goes in search of silverware before he leaves the club at the end of the season.

Chelsea have no new injury worries after Ashley Cole returned in Switzerland and Gary Cahill also trained with the squad ahead of the semi-final.

After their League Cup win Swansea have little to play for having secured their place in the Premier League for another season.

Winning the first major trophy in the club's history was a fantastic achievement for Brian Laudrup and shows the work he has done at the Welsh club since taking over from Brendan Rodgers.

Their recent run of no wins in five suggest they are side just waiting for the season to end, which is something that will encourage a Chelsea side still in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League place.

Laurdrup's side have no injury worries ahead of Chelsea's visit to the Liberty Stadium and the Danish manager will be hoping Michu adds to the two goals he scored in the League Cup semi-final clash between the two in January.
