Inter handed UEFA fine

uefaInter have been fined 45,000 euros for their fans' racist abuse towards Emmanuel Adebayor during a UEFA Europa League tie with Tottenham.

Benfica have also been punished for incidents that occurred in their Europa League meeting with Bordeaux in March and have been hit with a 32,000-euro fine.
The Italian giants have been sanctioned by the Europe's governing body after fans were heard to object the Spurs' striker to offensive chants and abuse.
Adebayor eventually proved the hero of the last-16 second leg between the two sides, netting in extra time to send Tottenham through to the quarter-finals after Inter had staged a rousing comeback to level the tie on aggregate following a 3-0 first-leg defeat at White Hart Lane.
Inter have been fined for racist abuse on multiple occasions this term, San Siro outfit were docked 50,000 euros by Italian authorities after fans targeted Milan's Sulley Muntari and Mario Balotelli in the local derby in February, and were fined 15,000 euros earlier that month for chants centred around Balotelli in a 3-1 win over Chievo.
The incidents also marked the second time that Spurs have been targeted by Italian fans during the campaign, Rome outfit Lazio also received a fine for racist chanting and were forced to play European games behind closed doors following their meeting with Tottenham at the Stadio Olimpico.
Inter's sanction relates to additional charges, specifically for "insufficient organisation" and allowing fans to throw missiles and launch fireworks while in the stadium.
