Internazionale 2:3 Roma (agg 3-5)

Roma have booked their spot in the Coppa Italia final with an impressive 3-2 win at the San Siro against a struggling Inter Milan.
Having led 2-1 following the first leg of their semi-final against Inter, Roma came from behind on Wednesday thanks to two goals from Mattia Destro to book their spot alongside Lazio on May 26.

Vasilis Torosidis scored Roma's third in Milan, while Jonathan and Ricardo Gabriel Alvarez got on the scoresheet for the hosts, as the capital club qualified for their 17th Coppa Italia final with a 5-3 aggregate win.

Inter claimed an advantage in the tie for the first time in the 22nd minute when Brazilian full-back Jonathan played a one-two with Alvarez, burst forward, exchanged passes with Tommaso Rocchi and then slid his shot into the bottom corner.

The home team were suddenly ahead on away goals and they could have extended their advantage soon after but Rocchi's connection with Ezequiel Schelotto's cross was poor, leaving Maarten Stekelenburg to make a comfortable save.

The visitors maintained a high level of pressure but found their attempts to draw level thwarted by the in-form Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

The Slovenian denied Destro from point-blank range in the 34th minute and then turned a shot from Alessandro Florenzi around the post on the stroke of half-time.

Roma did not let up after the break and, after Francesco Totti and Torosidis had both gone close, they finally equalised in the 56th minute.

Erik Lamela's perfectly-weighted through-ball sent Destro in behind the defence and the former Inter player dinked the ball over Handanovic and into the net.

In the 69th minute Roma struck again with Federico Balzaretti deflecting Daniele De Rossi's pass across the face of goal and Destro was on hand to tap in his second goal.

Andrea Stramaccioni's side quickly fell apart and five minutes later the tie was well and truly put out of their reach.

A magnificent, looping strike from the corner of the box by Torosidis compounded the hosts' misery.

Alvarez managed to pull one back for Inter in the 80th minute with a low shot inside the near post but it was Roma who advanced, still in the hunt for a record 10th Coppa Italia title.
