Raiola fined for Blatter insults
FIFA have fined controversial agent Mino Raiola for making offensive comments about Sepp Blatter.
The Italian, who handles the affairs of stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli, had referred to Blatter, the governing body's president, as a 'demented dictator' and called UEFA counterpart Michel Platini 'a mafia boss'.
The 45-year-old also called into question the voting process behind the Ballon d'Or award, claiming that the Swedish striker deserves to have won it.
Accordingly, he has been forced to pay 5000 Swiss Francs as punishment for the insult and an additional 1000 for the cost of the disciplinary proceedings.
Ibrahimovic eventually came 10th in the running for the Ballon d'Or, with Lionel Messi scooping the prize for the fourth time in a row.
Raiola also represents the likes of Paul Pogba, Mark van Bommel and Pavel Nedved.
