Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is hopeful that head coach Jose Mourinho will not leave Real Madrid in the close season.
Mourinho is being linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Portuguese stating more than once that he has set his sights on a return to the Premier League.
Nevertheless, Alonso thinks that the 50-year-old will stay put for the foreseeable future.
"I know he loves the Premier League and its atmosphere, and the way the game is played in England. He will go back to England one day, he said so himself. But I believe and hope that he is with us next season," Spain international Alonso told The Times of India.
"He is a very good manager. The way he transmits his ideas, communicates with players is different. He understands his players and you want to win for him."
Alonso then went on to praise team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, and hailed the Portugal international's work rate.
"He is an amazing player. It is very different to play with him than against him. I am lucky to say he is on my side. He is in terrific form and he is looking forward to helping us win more trophies.
"His goals do the talking about his ability, but it is also his work ethic that is incredible. He is very special."
Ronaldo has already netted 44 goals in as many appearances for Real this term.
