After an impressive season which saw the Welsh winger notch 26 goals for Spurs, there have been plenty of reports about which clubs would vie for his services.

The Bernabeu outfit are considered the front-runners to seal Bale's signature if he is to depart White Hart Lane. However, his agent Jonathan Barnett has stated there have been no offers as yet from the Spanish giants.

"If Florentino (Perez, Real president) is interested in Gareth Bale, then that would be an honour and we would listen, but his contract is with Tottenham," Barnett told Marca TV show 'Futboleros'.

"We are not free to talk to anyone," he confirmed before adding that there had been no discussions with Tottenham about a new contract for Bale.

Madrid's rivals Barcelona are another club linked with a move for Bale, with the Catalan side having already splashed out on Brazilian forward Neymar.

However, Barnett is convinced Bale is better than the former Santos man and says clubs should target Bale for his own qualities rather than simply missing out on Neymar.

"He is a much better player than Neymar, he has proven himself in one of the best leagues in the world, the Premier League," he said.

"I would hope any club wanting him, would not want him because they lost out on Neymar but because he was first choice.

"This is all crazy, but whatever Neymar cost - Gareth Bale is worth more."
