FC Kaiserslautern – 1899 Hoffenheim – Just four days after the first game of the playoff for qualification in the 1.Bundesliga follows the rematch where the final decision will be made. After the first match, 1.Bundesliga Hoffenheim is in a much better situation because it used greatly the home advantage and won 2.Bundesliga K’lautern with 3-1. The match was great and with a lot of opportunities on both sides, but it should be noted that nothing is resolved yet. It was their seventh mutual match and fifth victory of Hoffenheim, while two matches ended with a draw, which means that K’lautern still waits for the first victory. Begins: 27.05.2013 – 20:30 CET
1. FC Kaiserslautern
K’lautern didn’t look so bad in the first game, but the defence failed completely, which normally in the 2nd was one of the strongest weapons of this team. Obviously, this is enough just for the second league as against first league teams that same defence was unrecognizable. There are no excuses, because the last line was in the strongest composition and only the best ones played those who carried the biggest burden in the championship. They have received the first two goals very cheaply, and it can be said also the third, in moments when K’lautern dominated the pitch. Regarding the attack it all came down to two players, the brilliant midfielder Baumjohann who has achieved his 12 assist this season and the first scorer Idrissou, who scored a goal and was the only real threat to host’s net. The big question is what coach Foda will change for the rematch. The defence will stay the same despite everything, while Bunjaku could join the attack from the first minute because K’lautern has nothing more to wait and without at least two goals in the opponent’s net will stay in the 2nd.
Probable lineups Kaiserslautern: Sippel – Dick, Torrejon, Heintz, Lowe – Borysiuk – Weiser, Baumjohann, Kohler – Idrissou, Bunjaku
1899 Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim did a great job in the first game and now the self-confidence has certainly grown bigger. After the victory in Dortmund in the last round, which brought them this playoff, it was clear that Hoffenheim’s players are immensely motivated. They got an opportunity to save themselves from relegation, although the situation was pretty bad, which gave them additional strength, so they started furiously against K’lautern and after half an hour had a great lead of 2-0. They used maximally all the weaknesses of the opponent’s defence, and Roberto Firmino made himself famous with two goals and one assists. However, and this time they couldn’t save their net intact, and after midfielder Rudy’s error they have received a goal, which will not permit relaxation in the rematch. After Dortmund, coach Gisdol made one change and he put Thesker on the left flank, and Johnson was moved forward instead of Ochs. And it functioned greatly, while introduction of Schipplock was a great move too, because this player was again a golden joker as he scored the third goal. All players who were threatened by the fifth yellow card haven’t gotten one, so there will be no changes in the team.
Probable lineups 1899 Hoffenheim: Casteels – Beck, Abraham, Vestergaard, Thesker – Rudy, Polanski – Salihovic, Volland, Johnson – Roberto Firmino
FC Kaiserslautern – 1899 Hoffenheim Pick
In the first match we rightly predicted a high number of goals, and now that option is even more probable. K’lautern has nothing to wait and must attack from the first minute and we believe they can score a goal or two to Hoffenheim shaky defence, but they will too hardly defend themselves from Firmino and his buddies.
