Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes believes his side have set new standards in winning the Bundesliga this season.
Munich were presented with the trophy following a 3-0 home win over Augsburg, thanks to goals from Thomas Mueller, Xherdan Shaqiri and Luiz Gustavo.
And Heynckes said after the game that the way in which his side have won the league was a source of great pride.
"It's a joint achievement from the players and coaching staff," he stated.
"No team in the history of the Bundesliga has played the football we’ve played this season, consistently at the highest level – it fills me with pride."
Speaking to his players at the press conference, he said: "We all know you'll be showered in beer at Bayern, but at least I've avoided pulling a muscle."
Vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger was one player present at the post-match conference and he said there would be a big celebration after receiving the trophy.
"We're champions with an unbelievable record, like never before in 50 years of the Bundesliga, and it's totally unbelievable. It's my sixth championship, but I'm as delighted about it as I was with the first," he said.
"We all know we still have games to play, but today will be a long and intense celebration. We're still young, and we can cope!"
