In Bayern most attention during the past ten days was focused on whether some of the players would get injured in representative matches, given that almost all the club players were with their national teams. When they returned, coach Heynckes was more than pleased because no-one was injured and all players are available for this match. This is not so critical for the match with HSV, but is important for the one with Juventus, where having more options is better because it is more difficult to predict setting and formation the Bavarians’ coach will use. It is clear that they want to win against old rivals and therefore no one should expect a relaxation, but some changes will certainly take place. In the last round in Leverkusen they were without Lahm, Kroos, Ribery, T. Muller and Mandzukic and again they won, which just proves how strong Bayern is. Now it is certain that only Badstuber will not play and maybe the strongest team will enter the pitch, to do some fine tuning for the Wednesday match with Juventus.

HSV is a team that can brag about two victories against Borussia Dortmund this season and how in those two matches has scored seven goals, which could be a motive against the other major rival. However, it indeed appears that HSV this season plays a lot better against stronger rivals, although it cannot be stated for matches with Bayern, which recently regularly and convincingly wins. What surly makes the HSV nervous is the fact that they are currently just one point below the fourth place, which leads to the Champions League, and in the last two home matches played against Furth and Augsburg, teams from the relegation zone, have won a total of only one point. It is unbelievable that in the last ten rounds have won both Borussias, Werder and Stuttgart, and failed against these two weaker teams. Of course, in both those matches they dominated and had enough opportunities to score but they didn’t and now can be sorry. It is hard to expect a makeup in Munich especially since coach Fink cannot count on several important players. Beister was sent away in the last round and has to work out his suspension, Jansen got the fifth yellow card and is also suspended, while Berg, Ilicevic and Lam are injured.
