Fulham defender Brede Hangeland has signed a new deal which ties him to the Premier League club until 2015.
Since signing from FC Copenhagen in 2008, the Norway international has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
Hangeland has been in talks with the club since December, and after three months the Norway international is happy to have put pen to paper.
"I'm delighted," Hangeland told the club's official website.
"It's taken a long time, but we're there now and I hope the club’s happy. I'm certainly really happy to have signed.
”I've loved my time at Fulham. It's been a little over five years and I've felt right at home from the very first game and I couldn't see myself leaving."
Fulham are unbeaten in four games and host struggling QPR on Monday as they push to establish another top-half finish.
And Hangeland believes a higher finish is not out of their reach.
"I think we've turned things around," he said.
"We look stronger now in the last couple of months, and we're just going to crack on now until the end of the season and win as many games as possible, and hopefully climb that table a little bit more
