Bermuda prospect set for Stoke trial

bermuda
Chea Brangman, an 18-year-old striker for the Bermuda club Devonshire Cougars, is set to join Stoke City for a one week trial.
Brangman has scored 18 goals this season, including an 18-minute hat-trick as a substitute against Robin Hood, a late equaliser against Wolves and a vital winner when facing PHC Zebras.

Brett Mosen, the coaching director at Devonshire, expressed his delight at Brangman being given the opportunity to move to the Premier League.

Mosen told reporters: "I spoke with my colleague Barry MacLean who represents a number of players within the MLS and English Premier League.

"Barry was instrumental in the recent transfer of Brek Shea from FC Dallas to Stoke City, so based on this relationship, Stoke City seemed an obvious starting point where we can measure Chea's progress.

"I think Chea has all the tools required to make it in the game, the platform is set and now it is up to Chea to prove himself at the next level."

Brangman is a life-long Manchester United fan, and is delighted to be invited for a trial with a Premier League side.

The striker said: "I think this is a great opportunity for me.

"I know it is going to be real hard because of the competition. I'm not familiar with it and I will have to adapt to the environment.

"But they (other players) have the same goals and dreams as me and want to go to the same place as me."
