Ecuador thrashed minnows El Salvador 5-0 in their international friendly in Quito on Thursday.
Hosts Ecuador put paid to the nation some 72 spots below them in the FIFA standings, with striker Felipe Caicedo scoring a brace and Christian Benitez, Jefferson Montero and Joao Rojas also getting on the scoresheet.
Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia had a big hand in Ecuador's first two goals at Estadio Olimpico Atahualpa, providing assists for Caicedo and Benitez to have the host nation 2-0 up at the break.
Caicedo doubled his tally for the match less than 60 seconds after the interval, before Montero made it four on 64 minutes.
Rojas chipped in on 89 minutes to top off the rout, in a pleasing result for manager Reinaldo Rueda.
