Preview - Betting Tip
Dresden - Köln The last match of this 2nd Bundesliga round could be a very interesting one, considering that both teams really need points from this match. However, their goals are completely different, because Dynamo is in a bitter struggle for survival and is currently in a position that leads to always unpredictable survival playoffs, while Köln is the fourth and wants the playoffs, but for promotion in the 1st Bundesliga. Köln is currently in a better shape and have been long unbeaten, while Dynamo had a good run, which has been stopped in the last round. In the first part of the season they played 1-1, and both clubs very often play draw. Begins: 18.03.2013 – 20:15 CET
Dynamo Dresden
Dynamo plays this season in series, but the negative ones are more frequent and last longer and consequently are in a very difficult situation. The most costly for them was a series of seven matches without a victory in the finish of the first and beginning of the second part of the season. They managed to string after it three matches without defeat, where the best game was the great home win over the leading Hertha, but they all spoiled it in the last round with a defeat from Erzgebirge Aue, which is a direct competitor in the battle for survival. The biggest problem for this team is the inefficiency and because of it they scored the least number of goals in the league, and it is interesting that they scored the same number of goals at home and away, although they won significantly more points in Dresden. The first team scorer is the striker Pote, who for a long time did not shake the opponent’s nets, and regarding problems with injuries a new one happened in a match against Hertha when stopper Savic had to leave the game. From earlier there is no right midfielder Guedea and defensive midfielder Papadopoulos, which is a handicap. The coach Pacult has not made changes in the previous two matches in the team, apart from the forced one, and probably will not make it now.
Probable lineups Dynamo Dresden: Kirsten – Jungwirth, Bregerie, Losilla, Schuppan – Solga, Fiel – Kempe, Ouali – Pote, Kitambala
FC Köln
Köln is in a big push, and after a very poor start of the season they now have managed even to get in the fight for the third place, which leads in the playoffs for promotion in the 1st Bundesliga. Few had hoped for such a development after the first six rounds that ended without a victory, but the form slowly rose until the early November when they lost their last match. Since that defeat at Aalen, they lined the 13 league games without a defeat and only Stuttgart defeated them in the Cup’s eight-finals. The only drawback in this series is that they drew six times, with seven wins. They play away matches a lot weaker but they have a great defence, one of the best in the league. Lately, they mostly win at home and draw away. Only once in the last five rounds the goalkeeper Horn took the ball out of his net, and in the last round the first striker Nigerian Ujah was in his element and scored two goals against Paderborn, contributing significantly to 3-0 victory. At this away match absent will be the midfielder Lehmann who, after the suspension ended was injured as well as the left midfielder Hector, who will be replaced by Eichner.
Probable lineups 1.FC Köln: Horn – Brecko, Maroh, McKenna, Eichner – Strobl – Jajalo, Matuschyk – Broker, Clemens – Ujah
Dresden - Köln
Köln is the better team and certainly is the favourite, however, Dynamo is the host and certainly will not lay its arms easily. One point would satisfy them and considering that both teams often play a draw, it is a very viable option, certainly with just a few scored goals.
