Hannover 96 – Eintracht Frankfurt – This is one of the more interesting games of this round since Hannover has ended its participation in the European league and now can maximally devote itself to the Bundesliga where they want to qualify again for the European scene.
Eintracht still holds the great fourth place, which is at risk due to slightly weaker recent performance. Both teams were defeated in the last round from two Borussias, but the difference was that for Eintracht it was their fourth match without a win, and Hanover had three consecutive championship matches without defeat. Eintracht won the mutual match in the first part of the season 3-1, but they didn’t win in Hanover in last 26 years, since 1987. Begins: 10.03.2013 – 15:30 CET
Hannover 96
Hanover was knocked out from the Europa League, but it seems that only now are paying price for playing in two strong competitions at the same time which brings a huge number of matches. There are somewhere around the middle of the table, where the score differences are not so great and still can reach some European position, but the coach Slomka has big problems with injuries of players who have generally started matches so far. Problems intensified right before match in Dortmund in the last round, so the already difficult away game has become even more problematic. In the end they can even be satisfied because they lost with just 3-1, despite the fact that they were completely inferior. They did score a goal, one was cancelled, but the defence could not fend off the opponent. Problems with injuries are still the same, except that there is a possibility that the attacker M. Diouf might recover before the game, but still out of the field are Eggimann, Huszti, Stindl, Cherundolo, Felipe and Andreasen.
Probable lineups Hannover 96: Zieler – Chaded, Djourou, C.Schulz, Pocognoli – Pinto, Hoffmann – Ya Konan, Rausch – Sobiech, Abdellaoue
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht’s in a crisis that lasts four matches already in which they lost twice and drew twice, but what is worse, they did not score a goal. The crisis could have been predicted to a certain degree, but that the attack will be the biggest problem, and the team that had scored a lot of goals will transform into a team that cannot score a single one, it was certainly not. The fact they haven’t scored in Dortmund is not a big problem, but scoring zero in two home matches against Nuremberg and Borussia M’gladbach, doesn’t indicate anything good. In the last round they even lost the match, while the coach Veh ahead of it almost hadn’t have any problem with injuries or suspensions. Only the attacker Matmour was absent, but Lakic returned. It would be better if he hadn’t, because he was substituted at the half-time, and it is interesting that entry into game of Celozzi is the only change the coach Veh made, although they were lagging behind. Because of the showed card the reliable midfielder Rodeo will have to sit on the bench so Celozzi will start in the lineup, and Matmour returns instead of rather indisposed Lakic.
Probable lineups Eintracht Frankfurt: Trapp – S.Jung, Zambrano, Anderson, Oczipka – Schwegler – Celozzi, Inui – Meier – Aigner, Matmour
Better's Prediction: Asian handicap 0 Hannover
