Beckham denies PSG complacency

David Beckham insists Paris Saint-Germain did not take Reims lightly after their 1-0 Ligue 1 loss on Saturday.

A goal from Grzegorz Krychowiak on the hour mark consigned the French table-toppers to a fifth defeat of the campaign, but the English midfielder does not believe that arrogance was to blame for Saturday's adverse result.

"We had two good games against Marseille, but in football things change very quickly," he told reporters after the match.

"We never think that we're superior to any team. It's always difficult coming to away grounds. I think they played very well but we can play better.

"They won the game so they must have done something better than us, but like I said, we move on."

Lyon can now move level on points with PSG in the league standings if they are able to beat Brest on Sunday.
