Simeone wants ´present´ after impressive Atletico season
Diego Simeone has called on his Atletico Madrid side to maintain their recent form and secure a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Atletico currently sit in third place in La Liga, 11 points clear of Real Sociedad in fourth, and face an "awesome" 20 days according to the Argentine.
As well as four more league games, including a home tie against league leaders Barcelona, they will also contest the Copa Del Rey final against city rivals Real Madrid, something which Simeone is looking forward to.
"Everything is amazing," he said. "We have 20 days coming which are awesome because all matches have something for working up the football passion.

I´ve been better than Henry and Drogba
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud believes his debut Premier League season has been better than that of Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba.
Giroud has notched 17 goals in all competitions for Arsene Wenger's side this season, surpassing the 16 notched by Drogba in his maiden campaign in England but falling some way short of Henry's 26-goal haul.
The France international admits he has felt the pressure of filling Robin van Persie's boots since moving to the Emirates Stadium, but maintained that some criticism of his performances has been unfair, given his statistics.
He told Le10 Sport: "I replaced Van Persie and when you arrive at a big club like that, they are very demanding t

Lanus leapfrog Newells at the top
Lanus moved to the top of the Argentine Primera Division with a 2-1 win over Argentinos Juniors as Newell's Old Boys stumbled.
A Silvio Romero double ensured that Guillermo Barros Schelotto's side leapt to the summit on Saturday, with Matias Martinez's 81st-minute reply proving little more than a consolation for the hosts.
Newell's subsequently missed the chance to regain supremacy on Tuesday, as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.
Dario Benetto grabbed both the goals for the Sarandi outfit, as they moved up into sixth place in the standings.
It ended honours even in the glamour fixture of the round, as Boca Juniors and River Plate played o

Mancini left frustrated by poor Manchester City finishing
The Italian's side beat West Brom 1-0 thanks to Edin Dzeko's volley, but their manager believes they could have had far more goals if their strikers had not wasted so many chances
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has once again expressed his irritation at his side’s inability to take their chances and make their dominance of games count.
The FA Cup finalists beat West Brom 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a volley from Edin Dzeko, and the Italian repeated his message from earlier this week that the team’s poor finishing keeps letting them down as they failed to extend their lead against the Baggies.
"I’m frustrated because it is almost impossible to miss all the

Premier League: Man City 1:0 West Brom
Edin Dzeko's first-half strike helped Manchester City to an unconvincing 1-0 Premier League win over West Brom on Tuesday.
Barring a 25-minute spell before the break in which they were in complete control, City barely got going and they were thankful for West Brom's profligacy, which allowed them to take all three points from this contest at the Etihad Stadium.
Dzeko – who came off the bench to score twice in the last 10 minutes of the reverse fixture in October, which City won 2-1 – netted after 35 minutes, calmly converting a volley to give his side, who are second, a seven-point gap on the third-placed Chelsea.
With Saturday's FA Cup final against Wigan on his mind, Ci

Premier League: Wigan 2:3 Swansea
Wigan failed to move out of the relegation zone after Swansea City came from behind twice to win 3-2 at the DW Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The hosts dominated the first half and took the lead just before the break through Roger Espinoza.
But Wigan's defensive frailties were exposed as Angel Rangel and Itay Shechter scored either side of a James McCarthy effort before Dwight Tiendalli snatched the winner.
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez was without left-sided players Jean Beausejour and Maynor Figueroa due to injury, while Gary Caldwell returned as captain.

Ferguson to quit Old Trafford?
Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson could be on the verge of quitting Old Trafford, according to reports in the English press.
The 71-year-old – who will undergo a hip operation in the off-season – has just led Manchester United to their 20th English top-flight title.
Ferguson, who has been in charge for 13 of those successes, only recently claimed that he would be at the club for some time yet, but reports that began to emerge on Tuesday suggest that Ferguson is considering walking away from the club he has been at for 27 years.
The Telegraph said that the club's golf day on Tuesday was marred with talk that Ferguson would announce he was to walk away from his post befo
