Europa League: Benfica 1:2 Chelsea
europa league
Chelsea won the UEFA Europa League thanks to Branislav Ivanovic's last-gasp header as they beat Benfica 2-1 in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
Fernando Torres had given the Premier League side the lead and the Serbian defender sealed a memorable win in stoppage time after Oscar Cardozo's penalty had levelled the scores.

The Portuguese side named their strongest possible XI with Cardozo flanked by Eduardo Salvio, Nico Gaitan and Rodrigo in attack.

But Rafael Benitez had to make do without the services of injured duo John Terry and Eden Hazard, with David Luiz stepping into midfield to allow Ramires to play on the right wing.

champions leagueBayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

However, the Netherlands international has been an important part of their UEFA Champions League side and he insisted he was fully focused on life at the Allianz Arena rather what might happen in the future.

Moyes no pushover, insists Howard
premier league
Manchester United players should not expect to walkover David Moyes according to Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard.
Howard has played under Moyes since 2006, when he signed for the Merseyside club from United.

The American concedes that the Scot will be a big loss to the club, but backs him to excel in the Old Trafford hot-seat.

"He does not allow players to rest or slacken off," Howard said.

"Look at a player like me, selected for damn near every game, so I think he has the utmost trust in me. But I can tell you with my hand on my heart that in training, when the goalkeepers get called over to work with the ... Read more »

Milan duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Mario Balotelli were allegedly subjected to abuse from Roma fans during the 0-0 draw at San Siro, forcing the referee to stop the game briefly in the second half until the visiting supporters calmed down.

The club from the Italian capital have since been fined 50,000 euros for the incident, but the FIFA president has been left stunned by the governing body's decision not to hold an internal investigation.
