Eredivisie wrap: PSV slip up
PSV Eindhoven saw their lead atop the Eredivisie cut to two points after they suffered a 2-1 loss at Feyenoord on Sunday.
It could have been worse for Dick Advocaat's men, but Ajax were held to a 1-1 draw at home to ADO Den Haag.
Feyenoord's come-from-behind win, which came courtesy of goals from Ruben Schaken and Graziano Pelle, lifted them to within three points of top spot.
PSV took a 34th-minute lead at De Kuip in Rotterdam after a sloppy turnover in midfield by the hosts.
It led to Tim Matavz being released and he unselfishly squared a pass for Jeremain Lens, who tapped into an empty net.
Feyenoord equalised just two minutes into the second half through Schaken.

League Cup final: Swansea 5:0 Bradford City
Swansea got their hands on a first-ever major trophy courtesy of a romping 5-0 League Cup final win over Bradford City at Wembley.
The gulf in class between the two sides was evident from the outset and, having already put the Premier League's Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa to the sword, the challenge of Michael Laudrup's Swansea proved a step too far for League Two side Bradford.
Nathan Dyer's close-range finish and Michu's fine strike gave Swansea a 2-0 lead at half-time before Dyer stroked home and Jonathan De Guzman added a brace to round off a comprehensive display.
The game quickly set into the pattern that was to define the entire 90 minutes, with Swansea dictating matters and after a period of sustained pressu

Premier League: Manchester City 2 Chelsea 0
Manchester City closed the gap to rivals United to 12 points with a dominant 2-0 win over Chelsea at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The champions' dominant display was rewarded with quality second-half goals from Yaya Toure and substitute Carlos Tevez.
Yaya Toure's 63rd-minute opener came shortly after Joe Hart had atoned for clumsily conceding a penalty by launching himself to his right to keep out Frank Lampard's spot-kick.
Tevez sealed the win five minutes from time to help City pull seven points clear of third-placed Chelsea and keep some pressure on English Premier League leaders Manchester United.
The visitors looked jaded in the first half as City poured forward in droves and at times threatened to t

Premier League: Newcastle United 4 Southampton 2
Newcastle United swept past Southampton 4-2 in a thrilling Premier League encounter at St James' Park on Sunday.
The visitors had taken an early lead through Morgan Schneiderlin before Moussa Sissoko equalised and Papiss Cisse scored a sensational 35-yard volley to give Newcastle a half-time lead.
Southampton responded through Rickie Lambert's 100th goal for the club straight after the restart, but a Yohan Cabaye penalty and Jos Hooiveld own-goal sealed victory to give the hosts their third win in four league games.
Newcastle were without first-choice goalkeeper Tim Krul, though Cheick Tiote returned from illness and Mathieu Debuchy, Steven Taylor and Davide Santon were all re-installed after being rested during Thursday’s win over Metalist

Wisdom learning from Carragher
Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has hailed the influence of veteran Jamie Carragher on his career.
The 19-year-old defender is enjoying his maiden campaign at Liverpool, making 19 appearances since emerging from the academy.
He attributes his development to the coaching sessions he received from Carragher, who is retiring at the end of the season, in the early stages of his time at Melwood.
"I was in the under-16s," Wisdom told the club's magazine. "I remember Carragher taking some of our sessions as part of his coaching qualifications. From there I progressed through the ranks.
"To now be playing with him is great. I learned a lot from him back then and I'm still learning a lot from him now. He's still coachin

Valkanis pleased with Adelaide spirit
Adelaide coach Michael Valkanis praised his side's character as they earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Wellington Phoenix.
Adelaide were reduced to 10 men after midfielder Jon McKain was sent off for his second bookable offence in the 69th minute and the Reds saw a 2-1 lead disappear when Corey Gameiro fired home the Phoenix's equaliser 10 minutes from time.
The point lifted Adelaide to third in the table, on goal difference, but more importantly it ended a six-game losing run away from home.
Valkanis admitted the match had been a rollercoaster ride. They looked comfortably in control of the game for the opening 30 minutes with the highlight being a superbly taken goal by Tomi Juric in his first start for the club.
