FA charge Newcastle assistant Carver Newcastle United assistant manager John Carver has been charged by the Football Association with misconduct.
The charge relates to his involvement in a half-time incident in the Premier League fixture against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
Carver has until 4pm on March 22 to respond to the FA charge.
The 48-year-old was seen aggressively approaching Wigan player Callum and had to be restrained by other staff and players.

Lewandowski aims to be top scorer Robert Lewandowski has set his sights on becoming the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga at the end of the season.

Newcastle blast FA over Haidara tackle Newcastle United have slammed the FA for not taking action against Callum McManaman for his challenge on Massadio Haidara.
The club also criticised Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan for publicly backing McMananman after Sunday's match.
"We are disappointed to learn that the FA is not going to charge the Wigan player," said Newcastle's managing director Derek Llambias.
"We were first notified of this decision by a national media outlet who received notification from the FA confirming the decision.

Houllier pays tribute to Owen Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier has praised Michael Owen after the striker announced his retirement.
Owen will bring the curtain down on an eventful 16-year professional playing career at the end of this season, in which he enjoyed much success working with Houllier at Liverpool.
The 33-year-old won the FA Cup, UEFA Cup as well as the League Cup twice under the Frenchman, and claimed the 2001 Ballon d'Or award.
"He was fantastic and practically scored one goal every two games for the national team and the same for Liverpool," Houllier said.

McManaman escapes FA sanction Wigan striker Callum McManaman will not be penalised for his challenge on Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara.
The Football Association has confirmed that no retrospective action will be taken against the youngster, who was making his Premier League debut in Sunday's game.
Replays showed that McManaman connected sharply with the left-back's knee in the first half of the 2-1 win, prompting Newcastle manager Alan Pardew to claim after the game that the Frenchman had sustained ligament damage.

Monchengladbach hit autobahn in style Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach have unveiled their new team bus in a bizarre presentation involving horses.
The coach was hidden under a white sheet while horses and a horse-drawn cart were ridden around it.
After the sheet was taken off, players was posed in front of the bus and coach Lucien Favre sprayed the bus with water before it was driven out of the presentation area.
