Benitez tempted by Real role
Rafael Benitez has expressed his affection for Real Madrid, amid rumours he may replace coach Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Chelsea interim coach Benitez was part of Vincente del Bosque's staff at Real Madrid before becoming a head coach with Real Valladolid in 1995/96.
Benitez, who won La Liga with Valencia and the Champions League at Liverpool, said he is focused on his role with Chelsea, but acknowledged the strength of his affection for Real Madrid.
He told Radio Nacional de Espana: "I have a contract (with Chelsea) until the end of the season and I am going to do everything possible for this club to have the best success.
"Real Madrid have a determined manager with a contract and this dese

Pellegrini unhappy with offside goal
Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini says Porto scored from an offside position to win 1-0 in first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
La Liga club Malaga went down by a solitary goal in the first leg at Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday, with midfielder Joao Moutinho finding the net in the 56th minute.
Pellegrini was critical of the decision to award the only goal of a tight game, insisting the scorer was offside.
"Porto didn't really hurt us and the goal was offside," he told reporters.
"I thought from the beginning that Moutinho was offside."
Pellegrini was also unhappy with a lacklustre showing from his own players, especially going forward, but he remains hopeful of turning the t

Wenger braced for ´impossible´ second leg
Arsene Wenger says Arsenal must "make the impossible possible" if they are to overcome Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Arsenal went down 3-1 at home to the Bundesliga leaders in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie on Tuesday, but Wenger insisted his side have not given up on progressing to the quarter-finals.
He told Sky Sports: "Let's not hide the truth, it will be very difficult, but we will try to make the impossible possible.
"We will have to go there and play completely like we play at home and try to change the score. The third goal makes it very difficult but we have to try.
"Our fans were fantastic tonight and I'm very disappointed that we couldn't give them the win they wanted.

Championship wrap: Cardiff lose to Brighton, Forest rampant
Cardiff City slumped to their first Championship loss of the year as Billy Davies' Nottingham Forest thrashed Huddersfield Town on Tuesday.
League leaders Cardiff suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion, who had Andrea Orlandi and Leonardo Ulloa on the scoresheet in Wales.
It marked Cardiff's first loss in the league since December 15, 2012, but they remain five points clear at the top, while Brighton are seventh.
Davies' second game in charge in his second spell at Forest ended in a thumping 6-1 victory over Huddersfield at the City Ground.
Pole Radoslaw Majewski struck a first-half hat-trick and Elliott Ward also scored as the hosts took a 4-1 half-time lead following James Vaughan's 10th-min

UEFA Champions League: Previewing Galatasaray vs. Schalke
with the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 getting into full swing, one of the lesser-anticipated matchups just could turn out to be one of the most interesting ties of the round.
Turkish side Galatasaray were drawn against Schalke, with the Germans set to visit Turkey for the first leg on Wednesday.
Though Schalke ended top of Group B ahead of Arsenal, they arguably start off as the lesser-fancied side to progress through to the quarterfinals. Schalke currently lie in ninth place in the German Bundesliga, a full seven points off the fourth spot which could see them regain a Champions League place for next season.
Galatasaray, by contrast, finished second in Group H behind Manchester United an

Barcelona can leave door open but Milan will struggle to walk through
Catalan giants are vulnerable to the simple strike in Champions League despite Lionel Messi inspiring them to new heights.
The run goes on and on with a kind of irresistible inevitability, cause for celebration but also cause for concern. Barcelona go into Wednesday's match against Milan top of the Spanish league, a 2-1 victory in Granada giving them a 12-point lead on Atlético Madrid, 16 points ahead of Real Madrid. Leo Messi scored both goals, taking his tally to 37 league goals this season – as many or more than 17 teams in Spain's top division – and making this latest victory the 14th consecutive game in which he had scored.
Another frustratingly simple goal made the win in Granada the ninth consecutive gam
