Rooney confident of title triumph Wayne Rooney says Manchester United are in a "great position" to win the Premier League after his goal secured a 1-0 win over Reading.
The win puts United 15 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table following the champions' surprise 2-0 defeat against Everton earlier on Saturday.
With nine games remaining, England international Rooney admitted his team are well-placed to win the title, but insisted they must focus on doing a professional job.
"We knew the three points was the most important thing today, especially with City dropping three points," he told ESPN.

Balotelli plays down bad boy rep AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has insisted media reports about his supposedly outlandish behaviour are mostly wrong.
During the 22-year-old's time at Manchester City, rumours of numerous misdemeanours circulated, including an incident where he set off fireworks in his own house.
"They invent too many stories about me," he told Le Iene.
"I never burned my house down, never came to blows with Manchester United fans and never wore Milan's socks to training at Inter - 0.01 per cent of what they say about me is true.
