Gibson facing thigh surgery, Moyes reveals Everton's Darron Gibson is likely to undergo surgery at the end of the season to fix a thigh problem, his manager David Moyes said.
The problem forced the Republic of Ireland international to miss nearly three months from September, and despite returning as a regular earlier this year, he is seemingly still suffering.
Gibson scored only his second goal for the club since moving from Manchester United in January 2012 in Everton's 2-0 victory over QPR on Saturday.
And Moyes believes that the 25-year-old has the ability to score more often but his thigh problem is restricting him.

San Jose critical of Ronaldo conduct Athletic Bilbao defender Mikel San Jose has hit out at Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo following side's 3-0 defeat to Real on Sunday.
The Portugal international netted twice to help Real to a comfortable La Liga win, yet San Jose was not impressed with the prolific attacker's behaviour during the game.
"If he solely dedicated himself to playing football, he would not only be the best player, but he would also get some respect," San Jose told Marca.

Cursed season angers Stramaccioni Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni believes his side's season has been 'cursed' with injuries and refereeing decisions.
Inter are seventh after their 2-0 loss to Cagliari on Sunday and the 37-year-old is in no doubt as to the cause of their slump.

Kompany refutes penalty claims Manchester City's Vincent Kompany has refuted claims he fouled Fernando Torres in the box late in his team's 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Chelsea.

Koke conjures Madrid magic Atletico Madrid have smashed Granada 5-0 to strengthen their grip on one of Spain's automatic UEFA Champions League qualifying spots.
Central midfielder Koke ran the show for Atletico Madrid on Sunday, setting up three goals for the home side, as they demolished 17th-placed Granada to stay 11 points clear in third.
