Rooney: We must keep pushing
Wayne Rooney has urged his Manchester United team-mates to make sure they keep pushing towards a 20th Premier League title.
The Red Devils currently sit 15 points ahead of rivals and reigning champions Manchester City, and now only require seven more to claim the title thanks to a 2-0 win over Stoke on Sunday.

With City in action twice this week against Wigan and Tottenham, the title could be returning to the red half of Manchester as soon as Sunday's clash at White Hart Lane if results go United's way.

"We are in a great position," Rooney said.

"But we have to make sure we move on and push ourselves over that line."

Fabianski in doubt for Everton clash
Arsene Wenger admits goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is a 'major doubt' for Tuesday's Premier League match at home to Everton.
The Arsenal manager revealed on Monday that the Polish international picked up a rib injury in the north London side's 3-1 win over Norwich on Saturday.

If Fabianski is unable to play, Wenger may be forced to reinstate fellow Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

He has been recently relegated to the bench in favour of Fabianski after a form slump, something which the Arsenal manager has described as a 'blip'.

Meanwhile, Tomas Rosicky is back in the squad after successfully recovering from a hamstring injury which saw him sit out Arsenal' ... Read more »

Moyes prepares for vital Arsenal clash
Everton manager David Moyes feels that his side need at least a point against Arsenal to maintain their hopes of Champions League qualification.
With six Premier League games to go, the Toffees are three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, having played one game more than the Blues.

And the Scot admits that they are 'underdogs' to reach the top four.

"This is a vital game and games are running out," Moyes said.

"If we have got any chance of making the Champions League, we have got to get something out of it. For the last month we have been thereabouts but we will be the underdogs.

Plan for new Scotland leagues format fails
Sweeping plans to restructure the SPL have been vetoed by St Mirren and Ross County, plunging the league into further uncertainty.
Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne emerged from discussions to announce that St Mirren had not been swayed after confirming earlier in the week they would vote against the deal on the table.

With Ross County's negative vote the 11-1 majority needed was effectively snuffed out the proposals which were agreed in principle in January.

The plans would have seen a new 12-12-18 league model under one body with the SPL and Scottish Football League to merge, as opposed to the old 12-10-10-10 system still in place for next season.

Serie A: Lazio 0:2 Juventus
Juventus took another step towards the Serie A title after the reigning champions picked up a vital 2-0 victory away to Lazio on Monday.
Arturo Vidal was the hero for the Bianconeri, netting twice in the first half during a routine win that leaves the Turin outfit 11 points clear at the Italian summit with just six matches left.

After crashing out of the Champions League against Bayern Munich, Juventus were keen to put that disappointment behind them and continue their march to the Scudetto in the Italian capital.

Against a Lazio side still in the hunt for a spot in the continental competition, Antonio Conte's men could not have asked for a better start.

Premier League: Manchester City - Wigan
premier league
Manchester City host Wigan in the Premier League on Wednesday in a preview of this year's FA Cup final.

Both sides will turn their attention to the Premier League for the time being with Wednesday's clash shaping up as a vital match for Wigan as they attempt to avoid the drop.

Roberto Martinez's men are currently languishing in 18th position on the table, three points from safety with a result at the Etihad crucial to their survival hopes.

United watch Torino´s Ogbonna
ogbonna
Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna has admitted he is flattered by reported interest from Manchester United.
The 24-year-old Italian international was allegedly the subject of a Manchester United scouting delegation in Torino's 2-1 home defeat to Roma at the weekend.

Despite the link to the current Premier League leaders, Ogbonna remains coy about his future and says he is not thinking about any potential move just yet.

"This obviously pleases me, but right now I do not think about the future. I live in the present. I, just like all my team-mates, think only about saving Turin," Ogbonna told Tuttomer ... Read more »
