Premier League : Aston Villa - Sunderland
Aston Villa have set themselves the goal of dragging Sunderland back into the relegation battle on Monday in the English Premier League.
Sunderland have won their past two matches under new manager Paolo di Canio and while the Italian claimed this week that the north-eastern club would effectively be safe with a win at Villa Park, defeat would see them dragged back into the mire.
Di Canio's side are one of three Premier League teams six points ahead of Wigan (31 points), who occupy the highest position in the relegation zone, but Aston Villa (34 points) can draw level with Sunderland if they win.
Villa manager Paul Lambert has not downplayed the importance of the game as

Serie A : Milan - Catania
Milan will hope to keep their bid for UEFA Champions League qualification on track against Catania on Sunday.
Massimiliano Allegri's team are locked in an intense battle with Fiorentina for third place and have a one-point lead going into the 34th game of the season.
Milan will undoubtedly be thankful to face mid-table opposition this weekend having encountered Serie A's top three in their last three games.
They earned draws from the first two games of that tricky triple-header against Fiorentina and Napoli respectively, but suffered a demoralising 1-0 defeat to Juventus last time out.
The San Siro outfit are now looking to avoid going four league fixtures without a win for the first time this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo to miss Madrid derby
Real Madrid have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will miss out on Saturday's derby clash against Atletico Madrid due to a leg injury.
The Portuguese star scored his side's away goal in their 4-1 UEFA Champions League defeat to Dortmund on Wednesday night and is not being risked this weekend ahead of the return leg in Spain on Tuesday evening.
The Liga champions, who are 13 points off Barcelona with just 18 to play for, will also be short of defensive options, with Marcelo and Alvaro Arbeloa also struggling.

Inter handed UEFA fine
Inter have been fined 45,000 euros for their fans' racist abuse towards Emmanuel Adebayor during a UEFA Europa League tie with Tottenham.
Benfica have also been punished for incidents that occurred in their Europa League meeting with Bordeaux in March and have been hit with a 32,000-euro fine.
The Italian giants have been sanctioned by the Europe's governing body after fans were heard to object the Spurs' striker to offensive chants and abuse.
Adebayor eventually proved the hero of the last-16 second leg between the two sides, netting in extra time to send Tottenham through to the quarter-finals after Inter had staged a rousing comeback to level the tie on aggregate following a 3-

Serie A : Torino - Juventus
Juventus go into the 227th Turin derby on Sunday knowing that a win could secure them the Serie A title.
Should second-placed Napoli lose at Pescara 24 hours earlier, Antonio Conte's men would be able to carve out an unassailable lead at the summit with victory.
And they will certainly be confident of doing so, having not lost to their fierce local rivals since 1995.
The reverse fixture in December ended in a 3-0 win for Juve, but they will be shorn of one of their goalscorers that day, Sebastian Giovinco, due to injury.
However, the reigning Italian champions go into the game having earned a win over Milan in their last outing and looking to stretch their unbeaten league run to nine.

Premier League: Stoke City - Norwich City
Stoke City and Norwich City will both be riding when they go head-to-head in the Premier League on Saturday.
Both sides are fresh from victories in their mos recent outings, with Tony Pulis' men recording a much-needed 2-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers, while Chris Hughton's side ended a six-match winless run with a 2-1 triumph over Reading.
The three points came in handy for both teams and the winner at the Britannia Stadium will be assured of a spot in the Premier League in 2013-14.
The loser will still likely be a part of the top flight, but they will still have to endure a nervy finish to the season - with only six points separating Stoke from the bottom three,

Europa League: Basel 1:2 Chelsea
A last-minute David Luiz strike earned Chelsea a crucial 2-1 victory over Basel in the sides' UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg clash.
Both teams looked dangerous in possession throughout an evenly contested game but it was the visitors who were able to turn that threat into chances as they scored from their first attack courtesy of a Victor Moses header from a Frank Lampard corner.
It seemed likely that Chelsea would come away without a win when Cesar Azpilicueta gave away a late penalty for a foul on Valentin Stocker and Fabian Schar made no mistake from 12 yards. However, the game would take a further twist as Luiz slammed in a free-kick with seconds remaining.
