Norwich City have confirmed the arrival of Swedish defender Martin Olsson from Blackburn. The 25-year-old has brought an end to his seven-year stay at Ewood Park in order to secure a return to the Premier League with Chris Hughton's side after the clubs agreed a fee on Wednesday.

Scolari wants Brazil to send a message
Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has declared his team want to regain 'credibility' when they play Spain in the Confederations Cup final.
Scolari has challenged his team to 'send a message' to the rest of the world with victory over Spain; a team the 64-year-old Brazilian coach believes has 'controlled football in the last six years'.
 Sunday's final at the Maracana will pit the reigning world and European champions against the hosts and Confederations Cup title-holders and Scolari has claimed Brazil have what it takes to overcome Spain.

 The long-time Everton boss will officially begin his Old Trafford tenure on Monday, and talks between the two will be the first official meeting between player and manager since they combined in the infancy of Rooney's career at Goodison Park from 2002-2004.
 Rooney's motivation to carry on at United is questionable - with sources claiming he is all but gone, while others believe he will carry on after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

Chelsea star Juan Mata says he is "really happy" in London and that he wants to stay in the English capital for as long as possible.

 The Spanish playmaker scored 19 goals and laid on an incredible 35 assists in his 64 Chelsea appearances last season.

Xavi has dismissed claims he has undermined coach Vicente del Bosque and ordered him to name certain players in Spain's starting XI.

The 62-year-old has rotated his pack during the Confederations Cup, with Xavi criticised after reports he voiced his displeasure at the line-ups and undermined his trainer's authority.

But after Del Bosque and assistant Jose Grande insisted their playmaker had always been mindful of his place, the Barcelona star himself underlined that he has never once attempted to question decisions regarding personnel.
