VfB Stuttgart - Hamburg SV: Preview

Stuttgart turn their attentions back to the Bundesliga after suffering a 2-0 defeat in their Europa League last-16 first-leg clash against Lazio on Thursday.

They host Hamburg tomorrow ahead of a trip to Rome on Thursday which is likely to signal the end of their European travels for this season.

If they are to have any more excursions next season, it will now depend on their final league placing or progress in the DFB-Pokal.

``We have won our last three games against Hamburg and we want the fourth now to follow,'' said coach Bruno Labbadia.

He hopes his side will have learned something from Thursday night's defeat and refused to see just the negatives from the result.

BVB will be looking to avenge their week eight loss to the Royal Blues on Saturday in Gelsenkirchen

Borussia Dortmund are flying high after Tuesday’s elimination of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, although with Bayern Munich 17 points clear in the Bundesliga table, die Schwarzgelben will be mostly concerned with sealing second place over the next 10 rounds.

Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp will be without Sven Bender in this derby as the midfielder continues his battle for full fitness, and right-back Patrick Owomoyela remains sidelined and has not featured all season.

Norwich - Southampton : Prediction

Southampton have the chance to put more distance between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone when they travel to Norwich on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino's Saints are currently two places and three points clear of the bottom three and will be out to widen that gap with a result at Carrow Road.

But Chris Hughton's men will also be keen to bag the three points as they look to secure their top-flight status for another season, with the Canaries currently eight points short of the 40-point mark generally thought to be the safety barrier.

QPR - Sunderland : Prediction

The Hoops won only their third league match all season last Saturday but must build on their revival against Martin O’Neill’s side, which is winless in five matches.

QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar (leg) is doubtful and could be replaced by Robert Green. Defender Tal Ben Haim (hip) is also doubtful, but the Hoops could name a lineup unchanged from that that defeated Southampton last weekend.

Adel Taarabt was left out of the team last Saturday in favor of Park Ji-Sung and Junior Hoilett, but the playmaker has previously played behind lone striker Loic Remy and could feature at some point.

Bobby Zamora (ankle) is doubtful, so Jay Bothroyd could continue up front with Remy moved wide, but Andy Johnson (knee) is out for the season.
