Barcelona assistant coach Jordi Roura said it was important his players bounced back with their 2-1 win over Sevilla in La Liga.
The Catalan team suffered a shock defeat to Milan in the UEFA Champions League in midweek and Roura said the players showed their desire to fight for the three points on Saturday.
Alberto Botia put Sevilla up 1-0 just before half-time and Roura said his team's ability to remain calm after the break was crucial to their win as David Villa and Lionel Messi ensured Barca triumphed.
"After what happened against Milan we knew we had to stay calm and find our game," Roura said.
"We changed our style of play and it worked for us today. We can lose matches because sometimes we have bad days but the important thing is to change after losing a match and improve.
"These players have shown they are really committed to Barca and this win is really important for us in La Liga. We have managed to keep our lead at the top of the table. This is really important for us."
Next up for Barcelona is a blockbuster Copa del Rey semi-final clash against arch rivals Real Madrid on Tuesday at Camp Nou.
And Roura said that clash held far more significance for the Catalan giants than the next 'El Clasico' which takes place on Friday in the league at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
"The Clasicos are always important but there is no doubt the next one is massive because we want to play the (Spanish Cup) final and next Saturday is in La Liga," Roura said.
"The one we will play next Saturday is not massive because there are so many matches left in the tournament. This Tuesday is massive match because of that but all Clasicos are important."
Goalscorer Villa made his return to the side after undergoing an operation to remove a kidney stone and Roura is hopeful the star will not only line up in the big cup clash but also feature in the second leg of their Champions League tie against AC Milan.
"Obviously David Villa is vital for us. We have said David is really important for us because he is able to score," Roura said.
"He had some physical problems and for that reason he didn't travel to Milan. We will try to get him fit for the second game because he will be able to help us at the end of the season as he is a top level player."
