Eli Baup believes Marseille's clash with Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain on Sunday will be the most important match of the season.
Marseille sit just five points and two places off Carlo Ancelotti's team as the title race begins to heat up.
Baup's side will head to the Parc des Princes twice in three days, as they are also due to play PSG in the last 16 of the Coupe De France on Wednesday.
And the Marseille head coach is confident his side can rise to the challenge in both matches.
"In the history of both clubs, 'the clasico' is very important, emotionally and in the media, it's still the most important moment of the season.
"Obviously, every game is extremely important but it's a special week with two games in three days against PSG.
"We are not yet at the French Cup, but it will give something to our season, or not, depending on the result ... About the Ligue 1 game, the first (game) was intense during the first half, and then tight during the second half," he said, referring to the teams' 2-2 draw at the Stade Velodrome in October.
"Those games are very high level games."
Former England captain David Beckham could be set to make his Ligue 1 debut for PSG this weekend.
