Owen ´most at home´ at Liverpool
Retiring Stoke City striker Michael Owen insists he felt most at home during his time with boyhood club Liverpool.
The 33-year-old, who has netted 222 club goals during spells with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, announced this week that he will call time on his career at the end of the campaign.
And, in a blog post on his personal website following the announcement of his retirement, Owen wrote he held the most affection for the club where it all started.
"It was at Liverpool where I felt most at home," he wrote.

FIFA must act in Mourinho row, says Valdano
Former Real Madrid director Jorge Valdano has urged FIFA to prove the voting for the Coach of the Year award was not rigged.
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho suggested the election was fixed as several votes which should have gone to the Portuguese were wrongly attributed to eventual winner Vicente del Bosque.
FIFA were quick to deny any wrongdoing, but it has not ended speculation that the voting was rigged.
Valdano feels the body must act to make it clear once and for all that there was no foul play.
"Mourinho's declarations mean that FIFA has to do something. They should prove that the voting process was clean," Valdano told El Larguero.

Vidal wants Sanchez at Juve
Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal would welcome Alexis Sanchez to the club with open arms if he were to leave Barcelona.
Sanchez has been struggling to find his best form at Barca this term and the Serie A leaders are reportedly looking to sign him.
And Vidal would love to play alongside his fellow Chilean in Turin.
"I do not know whether Alexis will come to Juventus, but I would be pleased if he did," Vidal told Tuttosport.

Champions League not an obsession for Real
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is dreaming of Champions League glory, but has warned his team-mates it must not become an obsession.
The Santiago Bernabeu side last won the competition in 2001/02, but have since been unable to go all the way as they only made it to the semi-finals on their past two attempts.
Ramos is hopeful they can go one step further this season with the right attitude.

Hodgson denies rift with Wenger
England manager Roy Hodgson insists there is no feud between himself and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger over the fitness of Jack Wilshere.
The 21-year-old midfielder is unable to represent the Three Lions for the upcoming World Cup qualifying double-header against San Marino and Montenegro due to a recent ankle injury, and is currently undergoing rehabilitation in Dubai.
Wenger was reportedly frustrated at Hodgson's decision to play Wilshere for 90 minutes of the February friendly with Brazil, but the England manager was quick to deny any conflict with the Gunners boss.

De Gea would turn down Barcelona
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea claims he would reject any approach from Barcelona in order to stay and win trophies at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has overcome some inconsistent form at the start of his Old Trafford career with Barcelona reportedly keen on him after it was made clear that Victor Valdes will leave the club at the end of the season.
However, De Gea has reiterated his desire to stay in Manchester for the time being.
"I know things have been said and written but I have a contract. I'm very well in Manchester," De Gea said.
