Valkanis: Wanderers defeat derailed Reds Adelaide United coach Michael Valkanis said their horror defeat to Western Sydney Wanderers in mid-season marked the beginning of the end.
Valkanis believes his side's Round 12 disaster against the eventual minor premiers was the writing on the wall for the Reds, who were ousted from the A-League finals on Sunday with a 2-1 elimination final loss to Brisbane Roar at Hindmarsh Stadium.

Ancelotti sweating on Thiago fitness PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti is concerned that defensive lynchpin Thiago Silva will be unable to take to the field against Barcelona on Wednesday.
The Brazil international has been nursing a knee injury and did not feature during the 2-0 Ligue 1 win against Rennes on Saturday, prompting Ancelotti to give a pessimistic outlook regarding a timely return to fitness.

Hughton eyes home form for run-in Norwich manager Chris Hughton hopes good home form will be enough to guarantee his side's Premier League status.
Norwich scored a 2-2 draw against Swansea on Saturday which pulled them into the relegation dogfight.
