Moyes bemoans wasted chances
Everton manager David Moyes felt his side were unlucky not to earn at least a point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. In his last game in charge of Everton before his off-season move to Manchester United, Moyes saw his side spurn several chances to score as they were defeated 2-1.
Fernando Torres' 76th-minute strike was all that separated the two sides after an end-to-end encounter as Everton – who would have notched a record Premier League points finish with victory – ended a terrific season on a slightly sour note.
Moyes praised his players though, for their attitude and performance, and felt they deserved more from the season-ending match, which saw Steven

Barcelona 2:1 Real Valladolid
Barcelona remained on track to match Real Madrid's record tally of 100 points in La Liga with a narrow win over Real Valladolid on Sunday.
The newly-crowned champions dominated proceedings and a strike from Pedro as well as a Marc Valiente own-goal were enough to see off the visitors, despite Victor Perez’s late penalty for Valladolid.
Barcelona were missing Lionel Messi, who aggravated a hamstring injury in the victory at Atletico Madrid last weekend and is expected to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Valladolid defender Antonio Rukavina was suspended after being shown his fifth booking of the season in the 1-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna last Saturday.

Inter 2:5 Udinese
Francesco Guidolin's Udinese confirmed a place in next season's UEFA Europa League after an amazing win at San Siro on Sunday.
The visitors raced into a two-goal lead within 10 minutes thanks to Giampiero Pinzi and Maurizio Domizzi, and although Juan Jesus soon pulled one back, they were 4-1 to the good by the 53rd minute.
Antonio Di Natale and Gabriel Silva scored the third and fourth goals before Tommaso Rocchi scored Inter's second, but Luis Muriel's 67th-minute strike put the result beyond doubt.
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni made three changes from the side which drew with Genoa in their last fixture, while Udinese's line-up was identical to the team that beat Atalanta.

Replacing Carragher difficult
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers conceded that it will be hard to replace retiring defender Jamie Carragher. The Merseyside club finished their season with a 1-0 victory over QPR at Anfield on Sunday, with Philippe Coutinho grabbing the only goal of the game.
And there was almost a storybook ending, as Carragher struck a shot that crashed off the post from 30 yards in a move more reminiscent of team-mate Steven Gerrard.
"What he (Carragher) has got at this football club is unique," Rodgers said. "You have to find different ways (of replacing him). All great players, their time comes to an end.

Pardew: We owe debt to fans
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew feels his squad owe the fans a debt following a poor campaign which ended with a 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday.
Pardew's side fell to their 19th loss of the season as Arsenal booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League thanks to Laurent Koscielny's second-half volley.
The St James' Park outfit did produce a more resolute display in comparison to recent home defeats to Sunderland and Liverpool, but Pardew knows his charges must improve next term.
"It was certainly a more composed performance from us, we showed that we have got class in the side and that it wasn't going to be easy for Arsenal," he said.

Wenger praises Arsenal belief
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed his players' attitude after they sealed a top-four finish on Sunday with a 1-0 win at Newcastle.
The Emirates Stadium outfit booked their place in next season's UEFA Champions League qualifying round thanks to Laurent Koscielny's second-half strike.
And Wenger was quick to credit his squad for overcoming a seven-point deficit to usurp rivals Tottenham, who looked certainties to play in Europe's premier club competition following their 1-0 win over Arsenal back in March.
"We knew before the game that we had to win and any other result could kick us out of a potential Champions League group stage and we were right because Tottenham a

Martinez refuses to be drawn on future
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez refused to comment on his future following his side's relegation to the Championship.
Wigan finished their season with a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa, to conclude a turbulent week that has seen Martinez's side experience both FA Cup glory and Premier League relegation.
Darren Bent gave Villa an early lead before an Emmerson Boyce header and a Nathan Baker own goal sent Wigan into the break 2-1 ahead.
A superb volley from Ron Vlaar in the second half meant that the points were shared, and after the game Martinez insisted that his future was not a critical issue.
"That's not the important thing," he said. "The impo
