International Friendly: Ecuador - Germany
Germany travel to USA without a number of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund stars as they prepare to meet Ecuador.
With the top two German sides having contested the UEFA Champions League final and Bayern preparing for their DFB-Pokal final clash with Stuttgart, Joachim Loew has named an unfamiliar squad.
The likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Mueller, Philipp Lahm, Mario Goetze, Marco Reus, and Mats Hummels have all been left behind due to their club commitments.
One man who is included in the 21-man squad is Miroslav Klose, and the striker is hoping to break Gerd Mueller's goalscoring record for the national side. Mueller scored 68 goals for his country in his eight years but the Lazio forward is just o

Manchester City an option for Pellegrini
Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini says Manchester City is an option for him when he leaves the Spanish club at the end of the season.
The 59-year-old is City's first-choice candidate to replace Roberto Mancini, who was sacked with two English Premier League games remaining earlier in May.
Pellegrini has already revealed he will leave Malaga in the off-season for 'sporting reasons' but has, until now, remained coy over his next destination.
"I am fortunate to have some very good options and Manchester City is one of them," Pellegrini said.
The 59-year-old quickly emerged as the favourite to take over a

Chelsea will keep improving
Rafael Benitez is predicting a bright future for Chelsea as his spell as interim manager nears its conclusion.
The Spaniard guided Chelsea to a third-place finish in the Premier League and brought home the UEFA Europa League to cap a successful end to his reign.
And the 53-year-old was full of praise for the improvements the side made throughout the campaign, and believes that whoever takes over will inherit a top-quality squad.
"They've grown (this year) and they will be much better next season," Benitez said.
"They have more experience and you can see the team was improving. Always in football you win tr

Lukaku recommends West Brom to Mbokani
Romelu Lukuku has urged Dieumerci Mbokani to consider a move to the Premier League with West Brom.
The Anderlecht striker netted 17 goals in 19 Belgian top-flight appearances during the 2012-13 campaign, form which has reportedly attracted the interest of clubs across Europe.
And Lukaku, who made his name with Anderlecht before joining Chelsea, believes Mbokani would fit in perfectly at the Hawthorns - where he himself spent last season on loan.
"Dieu has won titles in Belgium, now it's time for something else," Lukaku said. "West Brom is a good club. They can offer him a new challenge.
"It is sometimes said that Dieu must be 'accompanied' but guidance is of

Jagielka reaffirms Everton committment
Phil Jagielka has insisted his future lies with Everton, even though manager David Moyes is joining Manchester United.
Moyes' departure has led to rumours that several members of the squad will leave Goodison Park, but Jagielka is adamant he will remain at the club.
The former Sheffield United defender was made captain after Phil Neville announced his retirement, and is hopeful the next manager will stand by that decision.
"Yes, definitely (I will remain at Everton)," Jagielka said.
"I was made captain for next season when David Moyes was in charge.

Boyce wants Martinez stay
Emmerson Boyce is hopeful Roberto Martinez will continue as Wigan manager and help the club make an immediate return to the Premier League.
Wigan's 2012-13 campaign came to a bittersweet conclusion, with victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final being followed by the disappointment of relegation to the Championship.
Martinez has subsequently been linked with succeeding David Moyes at Everton after the Scot joined Manchester United, but Boyce is eager for the Spaniard to stay put.
"Everyone at Wigan is hoping he is going to stay," he told Sky Sports.
"He's done a fantastic job since he has been there. The football that we play and the entertainment val

Lewandowski coy on Bayern transfer
Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has refused to confirm rumours he is set to sign for Bayern Munich.
Bayern defeated Dortmund 2-1 in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final and speculation is rife that the Polish striker will join team-mate Mario Goetze in moving to the Allianz Arena in the close-season.
Departing Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes strongly suggested the 24-year-old will be joining the club in the aftermath of their win at Wembley, but Lewandowski insisted it was not yet decided where he will be playing in 2013-14.
"I know nothing," he said.
"I hope that soon we will know everythi
