Brazil hit record low in FIFA rankings
Brazil have dropped to their lowest-ever position in the FIFA rankings, falling three places to 22nd.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's side, who have won the World Cup on five occasions, are now between Ghana and Mali due to a combination of poor results and non-competitive fixtures.

With Brazil hosting the 2014 World Cup, they have had no qualifiers to play and have simply featured in friendly fixtures, with the last five of these seeing one win for the South Americans and four draws.

Scolari's men will have the chance to move up the rankings when they play their first competitive game since July 2011 at the Confederations Cup later this month.

Mignolet is currently away on international duty with Belgium, who top Group A in FIFA World Cup qualifying, but he is battling for a first-team place as Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois has been preferred.

However, Mignolet is in demand with Liverpool and Arsenal both rumoured to have expressed interest in him.

Ox earns Hodgson plaudits
Roy Hodgson has praised the contribution of goal-scoring substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in England's 2-2 draw against Brazil.
Fred had opened the scoring just after half-time for the home side, before Arsenal's 19-year-old midfielder came off the bench to equalise with a volley.

Wayne Rooney looked to have secured an unlikely victory with his deflected effort to make it 2-1, until Paulinho levelled for the hosts.

Brazil had been dominant in the first half, but England responded well in the second period and Hodgson credited Oxlade-Chamberlain with bringing energy and attacking intent in the middle of the pitch, sparking the comeback.
