Sevilla head coach Michel will undoubtedly be wondering what he did to annoy the football gods as he prepares to take his team to Barcelona on Saturday just three days after the La Liga-leaders lost 2-0 away to AC Milan.

Barcelona have only lost consecutive competitive fixtures on two occasions in the past four years and when they were stunned 2-1 by Celtic in the Champions League earlier this season, Tito Vilanova's men smashed Mallorca 4-2 in their next match.

The Catalan club were left frustrated in Milan as they failed to penetrate the home side's defensive formation.

 Three Tottenham supporters have been taken to the hospital after a group of men wearing balaclavas attempted to smash their way into a bar in Lyon.

The pub in question, the Smoking Dog, is an English-style bar in Lyon's Old Town and was, according to reports, filled with around 140 fans of the north London club.

The AC Milan vice-president lauded his team's efficiency and heralded their improvement after a torrid start to the campaign.

"We did very well and I have to say that our coach (Massimiliano Allegri) was very, very good in my opinion," Galliani told the club's website. 

"This evening (Wednesday) we played a perfect match. We did well to prevent them from getting inside the box.

Caracas played very direct football throughout Wednesday's game exemplified by their 13th-minute opening goal as Pena hit a long aerial pass, which bounced over Huachipato defender Claudio Munoz to Dani Cure, who smashed the ball into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the area.

Pride will be at stake on Thursday after the embarrassing 3-0 first-leg loss, but the Napoli boss insists domestic success remains his side's priority.
