Ethiopia will look to book their spot in the FIFA World Cup qualifying play-offs when they face South Africa at home on Sunday.
The unbeaten side will win the Group A in the CAF qualifying section if they beat their opponents in Addis Ababa but, with South Africa poised just two points behind them, victory will not come easily.

Ethiopia come into the game on the back of an impressive run of form in qualifying after winning their last three fixtures.

However, South Africa have also not been beaten so far and enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Central African Republic last ... Read more »

Verratti not interested in Real Madrid switch
Marco Verratti will reject advances from Real Madrid and stay at Paris Saint-Germain, even if Carlo Ancelotti takes over at the Bernabeu.
The former Chelsea manager is the strong favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at the Spanish club after guiding PSG to their first Ligue 1 title since 1994 last season.

And there is speculation 20-year-old Verratti could also make the switch to La Liga, but the Italian is adamant his future is in France.

"I saw that Ancelotti was perhaps going to Real. If this is the case, I'm happy for him because this is a very big club," Veratti told Rai.

"But my future is not tied to that of the coach.

"I am very happy in Paris and I want to stay at PSG."

Veratti featured on 27 occasions for the club last season as they claimed the title by 12 ... Read more »

Giroud now wants to use that as a platform to build on to ensure he is an important player for club and country over the next 12 months.

France will likely face a play-off to book a place at next year's World Cup in Brazil, but Giroud remains confident they can do just that and is determined to give coach Didier Deschamps plenty to ponder.

The Welshman's form has caught the attention of Real, who are thought to be lining up a mammoth bid to lure him away from White Hart Lane.
