Martinez won´t jump on the success train

Roberto Martinez has insisted he will not be rushed into making a decision over his Wigan future.
The Spaniard has been the subject of past speculation linking him with the Aston Villa and Liverpool managerial positions, and is currently one of the favourites for the Everton post.
And after Wigan completed a famous FA Cup triumph with a 1-0 victory over Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday, Martinez appears to be in high demand.

"There is a right time and wrong time to leave," Martinez said.

"Only myself and Wigan will know when it is the right time. But I don't believe it is just about jumping on the success train.

"Football should be about working with long-term ambitions and giving opportunities to youngsters."

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan, who has previously stated his belief that Martinez will remain at the club, is confident the team can avoid relegation

They need a win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday to maintain any realistic hope of preserving their top-flight status.

"We know what we've got to do," Whelan said. "The lads know the job is still there. We've got to go to Arsenal and perform and we've got to perform at home and beat Villa.

"They're all aware of it and they're up for it big time."
