Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini believes that Juventus will be worthy winners of the Serie A title this season.
The Turin side are 11 points clear of second-placed Napoli with five games to play and beat Milan last weekend thanks to Arturo Vidal's goal.
Antonio Conte's side have sat atop the Serie A table for every single week of the season and the Frencmidfielder believes that Juve would be worthy winners after such an impressive campaign.
Juventus will wrap up their second consecutive Scudetto if Napoli are beaten by rock-bottom Pescara on Saturday and they go on to secure a win in Sunday's Turin derby.
"Juventus deserve the title. They have dominated this season," Flamini told Corriere dello Sport.
The San Siro outfit endured a disastrous start to the campaign and sat a lowly 12th after 12 games, but a run including just one defeat from their next 21 outings before last week's loss has put them in pole position for the third and final UEFA Champions League qualification spot.
After a tumultuous pre-season that saw established stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva depart for Paris Saint-Germain and the release of several veterans, Flamini insists that third has always been Milan's aim for the season and is determined to achieve that.
He added: "We made a pretty poor start to the season. We recovered in the second half of the season, but it was too late to compete for the title. We cannot forget about our start.
"We are aiming for third place. Finishing third is very important to the team, the fans and the entire club. We want to win as much as possible and coming in third is possible.
"We did not lose a single game in Serie A from December until last Sunday [against Juventus]. The defeat versus Juventus was just an incident."
