Leonardo refutes Cavani rumours

psgParis Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has cooled rumours linking Napoli's Edinson Cavani with a move to the club.

Reports from France had suggested that a deal to bring the 26-year-old striker to the Parc Des Princes had been agreed, but former Milan star Leonardo insisted that this is not the case and that the Ligue 1 leaders have no desire to sign Cavani.
He told Sky Italia: "The Uruguayan is not our goal this summer. You should not expect a sensational transfer market [from PSG]
because we already have champions."
Leonardo, who spent one year at PSG during his player career, was also keen to stress that he would not be leaving his post in the
French capital, and that neither Zlatan Ibrahimovic nor Ezequiel Lavezzi will depart for pastures new.
"I will stay in Paris next year in the same way as
Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi," he added.
"I have a good relationship with [Inter president
] Moratti, but I don't have the intention of returning to Italy.
"If there are many teams interested in them [Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi], it just means that we had a good transfer market
last summer."
However, the 43-year-old could not guarantee the future of manager Carlo Ancelotti, his position at the club has been the subject of

much speculation this season.
Asked about Ancelotti's situation Leonardo replied:
"We want him to stay, but his future is in his own hands."
