Premier League: Tottenham - Fulham

Premier League
Preview & Betting Tip

Tottenham - Fulham On Sunday are on the schedule the four remaining matches of the 30th round of the English Premiership, and we will analyse for you the two most interesting ones. We start with the city derby in which meets two London’ teams, Tottenham and Fulham. However, the Spurs are currently positioned much better and occupy the great third place in the table, while Fulham’s only the tenth, with 21 points less than its next opponent. Also, Tottenham won the last five mutual matches in the Premiership, while Fulham won only once, two years ago in the FA Cup. Begins: 17.03.2013 – 16:00 CET

Tottenham
The Spurs enters this derby after two consecutive away defeats, the championship one from Liverpool and one in the second leg of the Europa League by Inter Milan. However, the coach Villas-Boas players have managed to go further in this competition thanks to Adebayor’s goal scored in the extra time, while in the domestic championship still hold a great third position with two points more than the fourth Chelsea. Before this defeat at Anfield they had in the Premiership an amazing string of eight wins and four draws and were particularly convincing in recent games at home, where they regularly scored quite a number of goals. Because of this and now in their camp do hope for another brilliant game in the attack and new home victory, which would make them even more closer to the Champions League’s next season. Of course that is a great thing that their best player Bale, who has missed the match in Milan because of the yellow card suspension, returned into the first team just like a few other starters that Villas-Boas rested for this championship duel. Let us add that due to injuries from before out of the team were stopper Kaboul and midfielder Sandro, while midfielders Dempsey and Huddlestone are not fully recovered and their participation in this match is questionable.

Probable lineups Tottenham: Lloris – Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto – Parker, Dembele – Lennon, Bale, Sigurdsson – Defoe

Fulham
Unlike Tottenham, Fulham paused the last weekend because their opponent Chelsea played in the FA Cup, so they have had extra time to better prepare themselves for this derby. From before the coach Jola players stringed three very good games, in which they drew in away games against Norwich and Sunderland, while they won at home against the unpleasant Stoke. In this way they again approached the middle of the table and now have nine points more than teams from the relegation zone, so this duel with Tottenham can play more relaxed. And that simply means that they will probably leave the initiative to their opponents, while at the same time will seek chances to score from counterattacks through fast wingers Duff and Dejagaha, and lethal attack duo Berbatov – Ruiz. Also, the rest of the team shouldn’t face any changes and should remain the same as it was against Sunderland, while it should be noted that out of the team from before are injured midfielders Frei, Diarra and Richardson.

Probable lineups Fulham: Schwarzer – Riether, Senderos, Hangeland, Riise – Duff, Sidwell, Karagounis, Dejagah – Ruiz, Berbatov

Tottenham - Fulham

Of course that Spurs are big favourites in this derby especially as they will play in front of their own fans, but we have to bear in mind that they are a bit tired after matches in the Europa League, which excellent Fulham could certainly use for its advantage and at the end score a goal or two, eventually surprising the White Hart Lane.
