La Liga: Valencia - Betis Sevilla

la liga
Preview & Betting Tip - 16.03.2013
Valencia– Betis Sevilla– This is a derby of the round in Primera, because Valencia is on the seventh and Betis on sixth position with just one point difference between them. In addition, the point situation is so "dense” that the fourth position is very close for both teams, and we know that position leads in the Champions League. That is why this match is of high importance for both teams, who have by now received and scored almost the same number of goals, but now Valencia’s form is in decline, while Betis’ is on rise after they had have a very bad period. In the first part of the season their duel ended with Betis victory of 1-0 to, but the last seven championship matches plus one in the Cup played at Mestalla Valencia won. Begins: 16.03.2013 – 22:00 CET

Valencia
Valencia has been in a positive series that returned them back into the fight for the fourth place, however, after a home defeat from PSG in the Champions League they have fallen out of rhythm, and in the championship drew twice in such a way that they were saving a point in Saragossa, and at home against Levante the victory slipped out of their fingers in the last moments of the match. In Paris they played bravely and said goodbye to the Champions League with a draw, but in the last championship round were defeated by Athletic Bilbao with 1-0, again in the last minutes of the match. That defeat in general should not be surprising, since they were quite exhausted with the large number of matches and simply decimated by injuries. The coach Valverde has decided to rest the two best forwards Soldado and Jonas and consequently Valencia hasn’t scored a goal, although they both entered the match in the second half. New misfortune was injury of the stopper Victor Ruiz after only half an hour of the match in Bilbao, and Albelda had to play his position because from the earlier Ricardo Costa and Rami were out of the team. So now the great news is that Rami has recovered and will play against Betis, while Joao Pereira returns on the right flank.

Probable lineups Valencia: Guaita – Joao Pereira, Rami, Mathieu, Cissokho – Parejo, Tino Costa – Feghouli, Banega, Jonas – Soldado

Betis Sevilla
After one long series of negative results Betis has consolidated again and stringed three positive results. The series started with great and convincing victory of 3-0 over Malaga at home, but at the San Sebastian played one crazy game where they led by 2-0, just to turn into one who is chasing the result, which finally ended with a draw. In the last round they won Osasuna 2-1 at home, and the hero was again Ruben Castro, who had been absent for some time due to injury and then he was on the bench as his replacement Pabon played well and scored goals. Coach Pepe Mel has nonetheless decided to return Castro against Osasuna among the starters and got it right because this player scored the second goal for the victory. The first was piece by Jorge Molina who also plays in the form of his life. For this visit Pepe Mel probably will not make any changes in the team, because there are no new injuries and suspended players.

Probable lineups Betis Sevilla: Adrian – Angel, Amaya, Paulao, Nacho – Benat Etxebarria, Canas – J.Campbell, Juan Carlos, Ruben Castro – Jorge Molina

Valencia– Betis Sevilla Pick

For both teams this game is important because of the points in the fight for the Champions League, but Valencia is nevertheless better and has home-field advantage, so they will not miss the opportunity to win three valuable points. Betis traditionally plays poorly in Valencia and generally lose games.
