Deportivo – Celta Vigo – This is a classic derby of the rear and of Galicia province, so the match at Riazor could really be a very interesting one. These two teams have played in the last season in Segunda and won their placement in the elite competition rank, but are now on the way to return among the second-division clubs. This especially applies to Deportivo, which is the last in the standings and this is perhaps their last chance to catch up. Celta is next-to-last, has six points more than Deportivo and is just two points short from the salvation zone. Both teams are in very bad shape but Celta is in somewhat better. Deportivo plays desperately and by the end the season will need a miracle to remain in La Liga. The last time they won was in the first round of the spring part of the season, which was the early January, and since then have managed in nine rounds to draw just twice while were defeated seven times. They had one string of six consecutive defeats, which they broke with rather modest home draw against Rayo Vallecano and then they lost again in the previous round, but this time quite expectedly because they were guests at the Nou Camp. They even displayed a fairly good resistance to Barcelona and the match ended with 2-0, while three rounds before had a lead against Real Madrid, but in the finish were nevertheless defeated. On top of all the problems adds an injury of the top scorer Ricky, who had not played in Barcelona but now has returned to trainings and could play against Celta. He will replace Nelson Oliveira, while on the stopper position returns Marchena after the red card suspension.

And Celta in the last ten matches has only one win, and it had happened three rounds ago at home when they won Granada. In the three rounds before that match they were also defeated, as in the last two matches. Those were matches against Sevilla and Real Madrid, so nothing more could have been expect. We should say they don’t have much luck lately and usually lose matches with minimal score difference, so they lost from Valencia by a goal scored in the last minute, and against Real Madrid in the last round with 2-1. In Seville they lost 4-1, but they have deserved a much better result because they created a number of chances. All this give hope that on this away game can achieve a favourable result, although in general play away games very poorly and have won the fewest number of points and scored the least goals in them. As for the team, Tunez returned to the stopper position, and the coach Resin always changes something in the midfield line. For this match instead of de Lucas among the starters could probably return Mario Bermejo.
It will be surely a furious fight from the first minute, and because of the point importance there will be no beautiful football. The rivalry is great and the struggle for survival is in full swing, so we can hardly see many goals in La Coruna.
